Here’s another 2017 maternity make!
This plaid cotton fabric is sample yardage I picked up for my boys’ thobe collection (www.yftbyammaraza.com). I didn’t end up using this for the boys’ collection so it sat in my fabric storage for a while. The blue cotton sateen is also leftover fabric from my boys’ collection!

I basically had a sewing burst mixed with the nesting instinct and was desperate to use up my fabric scraps! I had just enough fabric for this off-the shoulder top.

I started with a free Beaute J’adore DIY Off Shouler pattern https://pin.it/7e95MoB to sew this. Her pattern used one length of elastic. It was tricky to sew per her directions. I would suggest a smaller 1/4 elastic for the sleeves and a 1″ band for the chest, and attach sleeves separately!
I sewed per Beaute J’adore pattern directions, with a 1″ wide elastic band across the top band. Top features super long ties which is my favorite detail. I had barely enough plaid for the ties! I added blue cotton sateen for the other side tie and I love how it turned out!

The end result is a fun make and beautiful maternity photos to go along with it! This top is still on my list to make again, with adjustments!
